Why Retinal, Not Retinol

Vitamin A must convert inside the skin before it becomes biologically active: retinol converts to retinal, which converts to retinoic acid. Retinol sits two steps away from that active form. Retinal sits one step away, which means it works faster and more powerfully with the same reduced-irritation profile.

But raw retinal is unstable. Beauty of Joseon encases it inside liposomes — microscopic lipid spheres made from Hydrogenated Lecithin — which protect the retinal during storage, enable deeper skin penetration, and release it slowly on contact. Every Ingredient Worth Knowing

Panax Ginseng Root Extract (10%): The formula's base at a meaningful 10% concentration. Called Shincho, herb of the gods, in the Joseon Dynasty — its saponin-rich profile deeply hydrates, supports collagen, improves elasticity, and brightens tired-looking skin.

Retinal Liposomes: One conversion step from retinoic acid. Stimulates collagen synthesis, accelerates cell turnover, and visibly smooths fine lines and crow's feet more effectively than retinol.

How to Use

After toner, pump 1 to 2 times onto fingertip. Using your ring finger, gently pat around the eyes and orbital area. Use morning and night; always follow with SPF in the AM.
